Division facts are the other half of the times tables: a student who knows 7 × 8 = 56 still has to retrieve it backwards to answer 56 ÷ 7. That reversal is a separate piece of learning, and it is the one most practice pages skip.

💡 Teach division facts in fact families rather than in isolation: 6 × 7, 7 × 6, 42 ÷ 6 and 42 ÷ 7 are one piece of knowledge with four faces, not four things to memorize.
Frequently asked questions
- When do students learn division facts?
- Usually grade 3, alongside multiplication — CCSS 3.OA.7 covers both. Most classrooms introduce each division fact right after the matching multiplication fact is secure.
- Do these sheets include remainders?
- No. Every problem divides evenly, because the goal here is fact recall. Remainders belong with long division, which is a different skill.
- Which divisors should we start with?
- Start with 1, 2, 5 and 10 — those quotients come from the easiest times tables. Then add 3, 4 and 6, and finish with 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12.
